Georgia Malone has a Graduate Diploma in Management (Arts and Cultural Management) from the University of South Australia. She has been an active member of the Australian Arts Industry for 20 years, with the last decade dedicated to strategic Marketing at some of Australia's most significant contemporary arts organisations. Working in festivals, venues and producing companies in both the visual and performing arts, she has developed an extremely comprehensive and broad knowledge of the industry nationally.
Georgia has driven strategy and planning including re-branding and developing business plans; the implementation of new ticketing and customer relationship management systems; and redevelopment of websites. Her pragmatic and lateral approach has led to successful campaigns, developing and understanding audiences while continuing to work in a positive and honest manner and thriving under pressure.
Georgia has been a pivotal part of the management teams in significant national contemporary arts organisations (Sydney Dance Company, Perth Theatre Company, Perth Institute of Contemporary Arts and Co3 Australia).
She has collaborated closely with the Board of Directors, creative and development teams to cement strong brand presence; significantly improved the bottom line with sustained growth in audiences and sales; and established leading edge marketing strategies that have put these organisations at the forefront of contemporary marketing practice while consistently achieving key financial and organisational goals.
More recently, with Perth Theatre Company, Georgia was responsible for the team and financial management, reporting to government, developing and maintaining budgets and ongoing marketing and management support.
She has previously held the position of General Manager of TEDxPerth for three years, a hugely successful volunteer team dedicated to the presentation of ideas in Perth. In this role, Georgia managed a team of 35 volunteers to the successful presentation of the annual event.
Georgia has cultivated an extremely strong professional network within the arts industry at all levels from independent artists through CEOs of Major Performing Arts Companies and also with key stakeholders including funding bodies, local government, corporations and suppliers on both the East and West coasts of Australia.
